Bonneville Salt Flats / Great Salt Lake Gallery

The Great Salt Lake in Utah is an impressive expanse of dried salt flats, open, briny water and rock. The 75 mile long by 35 mile wide Great Salt Lake is the remnant of ancient Lake Bonneville, once a large saline lake that left behind vast salt deposits when it evaporated over 400,000 years ago.
