These
images were created on July 4th at the Des Moines, Washington
waterfront fireworks celebration. They were long exposure experiments
taken with a Nikon D80 and a 200mm lens. I used a tripod for
my past fireworks images with high speed film. These photos became
interactive exercises in light and motion which were entertaining
to shoot, and produced some interesting results which are part
fireworks, part light painting, using the camera lens as a painting
tool.
